About Remington

Remington is located in northwest Oklahoma City, west of Portland Avenue, between Memorial Road and 150th Street. This quaint community provides easy access to all areas of northwest Oklahoma City where there are plenty of shopping, dining, and entertaining activities for all members of the family.

The original homes in the neighborhood were constructed in 1986, but lots of changes to the neighborhood and surrounding areas have taken place since then. Most of the homes in the area feature updated interiors, while the exteriors mainly feature the timeless brick.

The Remington community is maintained by a homeowners association. This homeowners association provides maintenance for the community as well as approving any architectural changes. These changes must be submitted to the committee and an answer will be provided back to the homeowner within 30 days.

Types of Homes

Median home prices for Remington are $265,000. The homes are all single-family and duplexes, with at least 2,000 square feet per home. Each home has at least 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms inside. The homes in this community are also no more than 2 stories and feature garages or carports that fit 2-4 cars. Some homes also feature a pool in the backyard. Household pets are also allowed, but no horses, fowls, or other outdoor animals.

As previously stated, most homes have brick exterior, and any outside changes to property must be approved by the architectural committee of the homeowners association. Quite a few of the homes in the Remington neighborhood have updated interiors. Homeowners are taking advantage of modern changes to add more inside amenities such as gourmet kitchens, updated bathrooms, and more.

Utilities

Remington is within the city limits of Oklahoma City. They are serviced by OGE for electricity, city of Oklahoma City for water, and Oklahoma Natural Gas (ONG) for natural gas. Both Cox Cable and AT&T are also available in the area for cable and internet access.

Schools in the Area

The Deer Creek Public School system is the closest to Remington. Their schools include Deer Creek Elementary, Deer Creek Middle school, and Deer Creek High school. If you are looking for a university, the closest are in Edmond. They are the University of Central Oklahoma and Oklahoma Christian University. Another place for learning nearby is Francis Tuttle Technology Center which offers career training courses and classes for fun and learning.

Medical Access

Remington offers something truly special in terms of medical access. The community lies merely minutes away from the central Oklahoma location of Mercy Hospital. Mercy Hospital provides an emergency room, urgent care, and numerous doctors. Within the Mercy Hospital property also lies dentists and eye care professionals. There is nothing missing from this health complex! Mercy Hospital is a mere 7 minutes from Remington.

Nearby Amenities
Since Remington lies in the heart of northwest Oklahoma City, there is no shortage of amenities to enjoy! There are several different golf courses and walking trails near the Remington neighborhood. Golf courses include Quail Creek Golf Club and Country Club and Gallardia Country Club. Both are within 10 minutes. Also within 10 minutes is Martin Park Nature Center, which features walking trails, a pond, and lots of animals for kids to watch. If you’re in the mood for shopping, dining, and entertainment, then head down Memorial road to the Quail Springs area. There you will find fast food, casual dining, and fine dining, not to mention Quail Springs Mall and plenty of fun.
