About Edmond Oaks

As it’s name suggests, the Edmond Oaks community is lined with mature oak trees in streets and yards. The community contains 2 subdivisions, Edmond Oaks and Edmond Oaks II, and was built in the 1970’s and 1980’s. The entirety of Edmond Oaks is only single-family homes. All homes in the community are between 1600-4000 square feet and no more than 2 stories in height. Most homes have a garage, but the community bylaws mandate they must be attached to the home. No detached garages are allowed.

The Edmond Oaks community has a voluntary homeowners association which each homeowner may be a member of if they chose. There are annual dues of $45 that are used for improvements and maintenance.

The 2 subdivisions are very similar and managed by the same homeowners association, but each subdivision has their own unique homes. Each home in the Edmond Oaks subdivision is situated on at least 1 acre lot. Those in the Edmond Oaks II subdivision sit on .25 acre or more lots. Household pets are allowed, as well as no more than 1 horse if you’d like. Pools are also allowed on each lot and many homes have inground and above ground pools. Feel free to ask about any rules or regulations about building to your property.

Utilities

Services for the Edmond Oaks community include the City of Edmond for water, trash, and other utilities. Oklahoma Natural Gas (ONG) also provides services. For cable and internet, Cox Cable and AT&T are available.

Schools in the Area

The Edmond Oaks neighborhood is in the Edmond School District. The elementary school for the community is Chisholm Elementary. The middle school is Cimarron, while the high school in the area is Memorial High. If you are looking for universities or other classes, the University of Central Oklahoma and Oklahoma Christian University are available for university studies, while Francis-Tuttle Technology Center is close by for any other studies.  

Medical Access

There are many doctors, urgent cares, and hospitals in the Edmond Oaks area. Those include Mercy Hospital, just 5 minutes away, Integris Rehabilitation, less than 10 minutes away, and numerous other doctors within 10 minutes.

Nearby Amenities

The Edmond Oaks neighborhood has lots of nearby amenities thanks to its close access to I-35 and Kilpatrick turnpike. Lake Arcadia is 10 minutes to the northeast of the community. Lake Arcadia features numerous hiking trails, boating and fishing, camping, and so much more. For some fun and excitement, head south on I-35 to Frontier City. The prime amusement park of Oklahoma has roller coasters, water rides, and shows. Frontier City is open April through October of each year.

Other amenities in the area include golf, shopping, and dining. Golf in the area includes Silverhorn Golf Club and River Oaks Golf Club. Prime shopping is located to the west off of the Kilpatrick Turnpike in the Quail Springs area. Quail Springs mall as well as the Quail Springs shopping center provide anything one can dream of. Many dining establishments are available in the Quail Springs area as well. Whether you’re looking for fast food, casual dining, or fine dining, they are all available in the area.
